| Netball Trial at Artarmon Reserve
You might recall back in February we wrote extensively about the Netball Trial at Artarmon Reserve. After considerable feedback from the APA and many residents, Council has decided not to proceed with the trial.
While most of us would be happy to see greater use of the oval for sport and recreational activities, the feeling expressed by many was that the trial would result in traffic problems that would outweigh the benefits of greater use of the facilities. While the APA and many residents welcome the decision of Council not to proceed, we are still keen to see more in terms of improved traffic planning, generally.
What we are looking for is "real" planning - not planning as a reaction to something, but planning that results in sustainable traffic management outcomes. This is an issue that the APA will continue to lobby for and monitor.
